Details:
This is my first ever recording of ISS transiting the Moon. The Moon was only at 24.8° at the time of ISS pass in Earths shadow. I hope one day soon to get an ISS transit at a much higher altitude. Because the higher the altitude the larger the ISS will show more detail if seeing is good. I used an AP155mm refractor with 2x barlow and a Canon EOS 5D Mark III ISO 200 and 80 shutter recording mode. Transit info from CalSky: Crosses the disk of Moon. Separation=0.004°. Transit duration=1.11s Angular diameter=32.3" size=109.0m x 73.0m x 27.5m Satellite at Azimuth=148.6° SSE Altitude= 24.8° Distance=856.5 km (in shadow) In a clock-face concept, the satellite will seem to move toward 9:14 Angular Velocity=29.0'/s Kind Regards Philip Smith
