Details:
The Northern Lights made a surprise appearance last night over the Reynolds Creek Fire in Glacier National Park. Not only a surprise appearance, but a big appearance! This is one of the largest photos I have ever taken and it shows a large portion of the night sky. For scale notice The Big Dipper is swallowed up by the leading edge of the Northern Lights. A large part of the fire can be seen on the left hand side of the photo. It was a cold and humid night so the fire died down a lot during the night.
