From last night during a Milky Way Photography Workshop I'm running. Great night for Milky Way photography with the night starting dark and clear. It was dark enough in northern Cook County, Minnesota to see and capture a significant amount of airglow. The airglow is the green bands in the sky. The figures on the dock are three of the photographers in my group and the light is the light from a camera's LCD screen. We hit several locations last night starting with sunset over Cascade Lake and ending on Paradise Beach before the clouds moved in. I got out my new(ish) lights from light painting and we painted an island (and I got one of my new favorite shots of that island). And we had a good time. Heading out again tonight for sunset and then we'll be out until dawn tonight! Can't wait to show the students what's in store tonight. Shot with a Nikon D800 and 14-24 f/2.8 @ 14mm, ISO 6,400, f/2.8, 30 seconds, processed in Lightroom
