Details:
I went out a little after midnight EDT (it still isn't really dark enough here to see much until then). The auroras at this time were just a diffused arc of pale green in the north. They gradually gained some brightness over the next hour or so, and a little before 2:00 am I started seeing an uptick in activity, with some more defined spikes, color and movement. The best of this lasted only 1/2 hour or so, and then settled back to the more diffused and undefined glow. Not our finest night, but a nice one nonetheless.
