Details:
An Opticstar PL-130M monochrome CMOS 1.3 mega-pixel USB camera was mounted on a Merlin AZ mount and was used to capture two 500 frame AVIs at 8fps using a Solarmax ll 60 BF15 H-alpha scope. One AVI was exposed for the solar disk and the other for the prominences. The AVIs were stacked and wavelet processed in Registax 5 and the resulting images processed and combined in Photoshop. Two different ways of presenting the images were used to reveal structures in H-alpha light.
