Details:
I photographed the Sun today and six months ago. Our Day Star is now in aphelion and the angular diameter reached the minimum size. By comparising two images, we can see that the difference is clearly visible. Details: Canon EOS 60D, focal length 300mm and 800mm (resized to the same pixel size).

Nice comparison, but keep in mind that the Sun is not on aphelion today. It will be next Monday (July, 6th) at 19:41 UTC :-)
