Details:
Well, I can see all four moons in my pre-upload image. There was an incessant east wind blowing no good. I used 5x and 10x mag. of Live View on my Canon T2i (per Alan Dyer's good advice) and I could focus well enough to see bands on Jupiter. The wind and vibration, however, blurred the banding at all bracketed exposures. This upload is overexposed for Venus and Jupiter in order to reveal the moons. This is a prime focus shot through my Meade LS-8 (previously ETX-8) Alt-Az mount. Tracking and collimation of optics were as good as I could effect.
