Details:
Tonight was amazing during the storm! We get some geomagnetic activity here in South Dakota but I've never seen anything like this. After watching the lights for a half hour it was looking like a regular event with distinct glow and pillars but nothing out of the ordinary. Within seconds the sky erupted with color and I was surrounded by the lights! Colors were rippling across the sky and, for once, the shadow casting bragging rights weren't only for those at high latitudes! I can't wait to see what the next round from today's full halo CME might bring later in the week. Photo details: 25 seconds, F8, ISO 800

Edit: Looks like I put the wrong photo settings for a couple of these. Oops. I took quite a few photos.
