I got the alert and with the kp at -7/8 and bz holding south like that I knew there was a chance to see something even here in Arkansas. I rushed an hour to the closest spot with clear north horizon that was dark and immediately saw some nice red aurora tailing off to light purple. There were even a few pillars!
