Details:
While I missed the closer grouping of the Moon, Jupiter and Venus on Saturday, June 20 due to pesky clouds in the west (and only in the west!) skies cooperated on Sunday, June 21, solstice night, for a fine view of the waxing Moon to the left of Regulus, Jupiter and Venus in the twilight of a solstice night, overlooking a lake in southern Alberta. Both images are high dynamic range "HDR" stacks of 5 exposures, from under to over exposed, to retain detail in both the bright twilight sky and dark foreground. Later this night, an aurora appeared to the north, making for a fine night of solstice astronomy. But no noctilucent clouds this night!
