Details:
“The Celestial Trio with 22° Halo” Venus (right), Jupiter (top) and 4th Moon (left) on 20th June 2015 in astronomical twilight in evening western skies near Gulf of Kutchh, Jamnagar, Gujarat, India, Planet Earth. In the foreground is fountains and watery reflections inside the Central Park at World’s one of the largest refinery, Reliance Industries Ltd. Few clouds are moving across the western skies as it has been rained 3 hrs ago and sky is becoming clear now. The Halo around Moon is just majestic. Clouds contain millions of tiny ice crystals. The halo seen around Moon is caused by both refraction, or splitting of light, and also by reflection, or glints of light from these ice crystals. The crystals have to be oriented and positioned just so with respect to your eye, in order for the halo to appear.
