How fortunate we were to see this amazing site atop the 1800m high Pico dos Dias in Minas Gerais, Brazil, where the Pico dos Dias Observatory is located.
Our group of students, training for the International Olympiad on Astronomy and Astrophysics, were amazed by the sight on this dark sky site. Many witnessed the Milky Way for the first time.
