Details:
Taken at 09:33:52. Nikon d7000, iso 1000, 35mm @ f/2 for 10 secs. Twilight was still present while looking almost due east. Sprites were also photographed at 9:30:40, 9:37:04, and 9:46:28 PM MDT. Although the weather associated with these sprite events was moderately strong at best, the occurrence of sprites is relatively common. One just needs a clear horizon, no strong moonlight, and a bit of luck with timing your exposures.
