As I climbed out of bed, I felt somewhat apprehensive about the cloud cover outside, with rain forecast, but decided to set up anyhow, just in case the gods chose to smile down upon me. After all, how often does the distant Uranus and our local Moon meet in our skies? By 4:30am the cloud cover appeared to be 100% but I persisted and was rewarded with a few holes in the thin cloud cover. This anxious game of cat and mouse with the weather prevented me from recording a series of close approach, ingress and egress shots, but in the end, I was very pleased with what I was able to record. For the close up shot of Uranus approaching the lunar limb, I blended a previous LRGB image of Uranus in place of the faint B&W smudge recorded by the ASI120MM ccd camera. Cheers Dennis
