Airglow sky .. It seems this is a never ending story in the Southern hemisphere these nights. The night sky is shining in orangish color due to oxygen airglow emission (~6300 A) in upper atmosphere. I took this image a couple of nights ago, when the airglow emission was pretty strong (see orange color cast all over the image). Milky Way is on the rise, while you can also see faint Zodiacal stripe along the ecliptic. Venus, Jupiter, and Regulus are nicely aligned indeed. After all you can also see the domes of 6.5-m Magellan telescopes on the foreground.
