looked up to see a rainbow colored halo around the sun today in the front yard, then noticed the offset white halo that one end just torched the sun, it dissipated fast but the rainbow halo lasted an hour

Good pictures of an interesting halo display! The Rainbow-colored halo appears to be doubled. The bright component is the upper part of the 22degs circumscribed halo, the weaker one is the upper suncave Parry arc. The offset white halo can be determined as the parhelic circle. This circumzenithal circle just passes through the sun.
