Details:
It sure was nice to see the aurora borealis reach storm level tonight! Unexpected, for sure, at least by me. I knew there was some activity in the forecast for tonight, but I didn't expect it to get as good as it did! The best I saw was around 3:15 AM, when this photo was made. I was standing on the end of the dock at Grand Portage National Monument in Grand Portage Bay, looking back towards shore. The sky was filled with ever-changing patterns of the aurora. One of the best shows I've seen yet in northern Minnesota!
