It’s been quite a while since we have enjoyed viewing a large sunspot group on the solar surface with our normal telescopes…Sunspot group AR2339 is quite spectacular and it’s in a perfect position for viewing.
Please remember to use solar filters on all your lenses or telescopes as looking at the Sun is very dangerous…enjoy safe viewing please :-)
Image taken with a Meade 80mm refractor telescope with an Orion glass solar filter attached to the objective lens and a Canon 700D camera with a 2x barlow lens. The exposures were 1/400th second and ISO800. The image is a set of 7 images that were stacked in Registack6 and lightly processed in PS CS4.
