I had been hoping that the aerosols from the Calbuco eruption might make it all the way to Australia. The evening of 6th May was clear and an obvious fan shaped pink glow was visible at 5:45pm local time on the western horizon. Nikon D200, 12mm fl, f8, 10 seconds at ISO 400
