A waxing gibbous moon in the evening.
Today, May 2nd, is Hachi-ju-hachi-ya in 2015 in Japan, literally, the 88th night: it is the 88th day from Lichun/Risshun (the 1st of 24 solar terms in the East-Asian traditional calendar; literally, start of spring).
In old Japan, it is believed that the tea leaves picked on Hachi-ju-hachi-ya are the best.
