Details:
Took a photo of moon last night. Photo showed a bright white spot in the northern region. Is this a crater? Is this dust kicked up after an impact?

That is Aristarchus crater, which is considered the brightest of the large formations on the lunar surface. It is a young crater and its albedo is nearly double that of most lunar features.
