And again: never before I observed so late in the season the northern lights. By the way: nr. 107 of this incredible season! Just after midnight, around 00:15h. (Finnish time) a green arch became visible above the illuminated midnight sky in the north. However, stars, Moon and Venus were still bright enough to shine. Between 01:20-1:22h.the sky exploded and very, very bright green auroras were visible! Meanwhile the first returned ducks were flying and gaggling around and also the Boreal Owl (Tengmalm's Owl)was heard: a noisy but frosty (-5'C) and colorful 'night'!
