From the city of Duarte, CA, Pleiades was not easily seen. It took me a minute or so to spot it even though its location wrt to Venus was known. The objects were about 30 deg above the horizon @ 8:46pm. Point & shoot Canon SD870, 5 sec, f3.5 @ ISO 800
