Details:
I was in Iceland for just 4 days in March 2015. On two nights I saw pretty nice Northern Lights. March 17-18, and also March 19-20 ( shortly before the solar eclipse ) . Here is a short video I shot and edited , mostly from the 17-18 March event ( a few final scenes are from March 20 after 1 AM. ) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eYi8DkKmSMc camera used was mostly a Canon EOS 600D (and a few scenes on 700D), both with Magic Lantern for fps overrie lowlight timelapse video. lens Tokina 11-16/2.8 on 17-18 , the super storm, at my location it was completely clear skies but very windy , rather cold feeling. 2 days later, 19-20, west of KEF airport, almost no wind and warmer. Note : I also played some violin under the aurora but on 17th march it was too windy to play well. On 19-20 however I played for half an hour. It was an amazing feeling to play music outdoors at midnight under the northern lights.
