Unsettled Earth magnetic field.
Intermittent geomagnetic storming was observed in Los Altos, California on March 21 to 22, 2015. Measurement was done from 5 pm to 5 pm (DST) in the plane perpendicular to local vector of the geomagnetic field. Scale is ~ 22nT per unit in both directions, ~ 1Hz low pass filter, 24 hour recording. The loops are caused by the cars passing by that disturbed the field for about 1 to 2 seconds.
