Details:
Data from my homemade analog magnetometer matches very closely with data from a professional one. Differences are either local noise, or true differences in the magnetic field, as the Victoria, BC magnetometer is 207 miles away from my location. I am surprised how much accuracy I can get (0.002 degrees ~ 0.6nT) as I can zoom in and see movement of 0.1mm on my scale. Data was entered into Excel to create this graph. The cleanest readings, like this one, are at night, as during the day local noise interferes (cars driving by, garage doors, opening the fridge, etc.)
