Details:
At times it was quite bright, so that I could easily see not only the reflections of the brighter beams on the sea surface but even the small waves on the calm sea from the cliff I was standing on, usually a very dark place. I've never seen an aurora that bright before. It even reached zenith which here occurs only once in years probably.
