Details:
These photos were taken on the evening of March 17, 2015 between sunset and 10:00 p.m. Central Time. The photos were taken on the banks of the Rainy River and were a bit tricky to obtain as the ice shelves on the riverbank were glare ice and narrow in places and sloped toward the water. I had to be careful not to slide into the water with my camera equipment. Lots of nice colour combinations particularly the blues and purples. The intensity was quite strong at times with auroral pillars reaching the zenith.
