Details:
Aurora seen from Shap, Cumbria, UK. Cloud was slow to clear and atmosphere was hazy throughout, but the aurora was visible from about 10:30 to 3:30, when cloud returned again. Vertical rays of red, green and even blue were visible from my patio. Mostly quite faint to the eye, but some vivid moments! Great for photography though.
