Details:
I was working for Lights over Lapland in Abisko on the night of the 17th. We had cloud but still saw some good purple colours through some gaps in the cloud. After work finished and I got everything packed away I took a gamble and drove East just after midnight. I found a dark spot past Kiruna with some nice trees and at about 2:00am there was purple and green aurora all around but not very bright so I thought I'd missed all the best action. Then a really active corona developed just above the highest tree at about 3:00am. I captured multiple images but have just processed this one for now. I've never seen purples as deep as this before! Drove back during dawn and now have to sleep. The life of a happy aurora photographer :) www.oliverwrightphotography.com
