A satellite exploding or a rocket stage/separation?
Taken by Dennis on March 12, 2015 @ 8s exposures, ISO 800, all at 18mm. Some were at f/3.5, some were at f/4.5. I was testing my new camera (NEX-3N) with a Sony SEL1855 kit lens. I didn't notice it until the 2nd image. I then observed it for a while. There was a bright object in the center of a bright expanding spherical cloud. My best guess as of now is that it was maybe a stage of the Atlas 5 rocket that NASA launched for their Magnetospheric Multiscale project.
