Hi. I have a question for everyone actually. What is that very tall almost arching red/purple beam of light on the left hand side? To the naked eye, it was a very bright, almost transparent white with a very hint of reddish color arch of light. It was extremely tall. It went from the horizon to over my head in kind of an arching motion, but it didn't move left or right. I took this around 12:53 am Montana time. As far as I could tell, it was in the sky for at least 45 mins, but did not move location. I sure would love to know what this is! Its unlike any Aurora event I've ever witnessed. Also being in Montana, rarely do the Northern Lights go above our head, which is another reason why this tall beam stood out. Much much higher then the greens to the right.
