This is a comparison picture in color and black and white of Comet Lovejoy C/2014 Q2. I used the central portion of my color image, produced by a 12.7cm f5.2 Petzval with a Canon 60D, converted it to black and white and then enhanced the heck out of it to bring up as much detail as I could in the tail.
