Details:
ATV-5 had undocked from the ISS a few hours before and was some 25 degrees in front of the ISS when they passed over Leiden, the Netherlands, near 19:14 local time (18:14 UT). Unfortunately an untimely field of clouds came in just as the pass was to commence. Still I managed to observe and image both spacecraft, in stamp-sized gaps between the clouds. 5 minutes after the pass it was completely clear again... ATV-5 was easy to see with the naked eye, even amidst clouds, and about magnitude +1. It was some 25 degrees (25-30 seconds) in front of the ISS while they passed through the zenith. One image shows ATV-5 passing near Capella. The other one shows both ATV-5 (bottom) and ISS (top) descending to the east. Both images were made with a Canon EOS 60D + EF 2.0/35mm lens, 5 seconds at 800 ISO.
