Details:
A lucky break in the clouds gave me a view of s mutual event between Io and Ganymede on the night of 12 February. Jupiter is now just past Equinox which means that we are currently getting to see the orbits of the four Galilean moons virtually edge on. Clouds ruined the images of Io passing in front of Ganymede but I did manage to record the separation of both moons. In addition a few minutes later I also managed to record the shadow of Io clipping the disc of Ganymede. All images were taken with a C14 telescope. An IR filter was used for the Jupiter and moons shot with a Red filter being used for the sequences.
