Pensacola State student Brad Stephen took this photo of a striking solar prominence at 10:50 AM on Thursday, Feb. 12,2015. He used a Coronado 60, iOptron 12.5mm Plossl Smartphone adapter, and his iPhone 6. Many Pensacola State students and faculty also saw this funnel cloud shape at that time, but it had dissipated by 2 PM when we checked again. His original iPhone image, mirror reversed, is also attached.
