Details:
In between rain showers yesterday I was able to capture a large and delicate detached prominence the ejected from the eastern limb of the Sun, I watch it for ages as it floated off into space… Also, the huge filament that we have all been watching is still very prominent with a few more now developing across the solar surface…its been very exciting these past two weeks observing our amazing star :-) My image was taken with a Lunt 80mm Solar Telescope and a Canon 700D camera with a 2x barlow lens attached. The final image is a combination of two images one for the solar disc and one for the delicate prominences that I combined in PS CS4. There were 30 images each that were stacked in Registack6 and processed in PS. Exposures times for solar disc were 1/200th exposure and ISO 200. For the overexposed image the exposure times were 1/15th second and ISO 200.
