Even in sparsely populated Finland, it's quite hard to find a spot where there is no artificial light sources or light pollution disturbing long exposure night time landscape and astro photography. On 10th February we discovered a promising spot from light pollution maps with my friend some tens of kilometers east from city of Joensuu. The view in the lovcation was magnificient, naked eye revealed beautiful Milkyway and as a bonus, also Auroras started to dance for us. Small orthodox church's yard nearby was also exciting place to visit as there were absolutely no artificial ligth anywhere except our camera displays. Here's couple of photos from that night. Details: Nikon D610 + Samyang 14mm f/2.8. ISO 3200-6400, 30s, f 3.5-f4.0

Hi Karri, what lovely pictures...you may not know it, but you have also captured Comet Lovejoy, you will find it above the Andromeda Galaxy to the left in your pictures, you cannot miss it because of its pretty colour :-)
