Jupiter and one of the Galilean satellites, Io. My first image of this apparition and captured in very poor seeing which meant that I had to capture at native focal length.Imaged using a Celestron C8 SCT at F10 with an ASI 120MM camera and QHY LRGB filters.

GREAT pic.....you have become my favorite non pro.....waiting on a sun shot from ya with filament......I shoot wide field especially the milkyway.....been doing that my whole life everydays a different view/condition....if you go to the next page and look at the pic ....says fishing with candles/orion thats me

Many thanks for your kind comments Jim! Unfortunately I dont have any solar imaging kit - except a white light filter. We dont get much sun here lol!

ya I have the thousand oaks filter for white light...in winter its cloudy here a lot all lake effect snow I call it dandruff but it adds up...last year the great lakes froze over that was a first in 30 yrs...could walk to Canada.....when we get a clear night it drops like a rock.....coming Mondays high 2 clear night ill be out pour camera...lol.
