While there's some activity in AR2282 and a couple of nice filaments nearby, the sun is dominated by a filament that extends across 3/4 of the southern surface.

Solarmax 60II f/6.6, Canon XTi ISO 800, surface 1/800 sec. prominences 1/250 sec. East and West are reversed.

The surface and prominence shots are 5 layer stacks. Treated with Lynkeos' Lucy-Richardson algorithm and Photoshop for stacking, montage and colour.
