Details:
This amazing solar filament is just getting bigger and bigger as it snakes its way across the surface of the Sun. It feels like something incredibly powerful is going to happen soon!
The Monochrome image shows some delicate prominences around the solar limb.
My images were taken with a 80mm Lunt Solar Telescope and a Canon 700D with a 2x barlow lens. Both images were a stack of 30 images they were stacked in Registack6 and lightly processed in PS CS4.
