Details:
Another clear night, with moonlight not interfering, provided an opportunity not to be missed. Comet Lovejoy appeared as a circular smudge through 15X70 binoculars. As the comet moved through Aries it was close to 39 Aries, making an interesting photo. The extreme light pollution of New York City didn't allow for a beautiful picture, but the results were still amazing. The view through the binoculars was much better than the photos. Details: Canon EOS Rebel T5i digital camera, Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 lense, set at 200mm for the first two photos, and 285mm for the last two, exp 2.5sec, f=5.6, ISO 3200.
