Details:
We really weren't expecting any Auroras tonight, with the suns activity flatlining as of late, and only a coronal stream to come later this week. We were really surprised and happy to hear of a possibly G1 storm. I started watching the data early after noon, and as early as 6pm the Aurora began to appear in the sky. We witnessed a beautiful show over Guesthouse Husky in Ivalo, Finland. This image is one of an Aurora timelapse project I'm working on. The aurora was bright and danced around for about 45 minutes before subsiding.
