Details:
Despite frigid temps couldn't resist dragging my gear out to capture Comet Lovejoy--especially after others in the New Hampshire Astronomical Society--of which I am a member--started posting their images. I was late getting out (around 10 p,m,) and only had time for a handful of pictures before the comet set behind tall trees near my home. So...no time to shoot a stackable series...just single shots using my Canon T2i. Set at ISO 1600 I took several pictures from 15 seconds to 6 minutes. Light pollution near my home is heavy duty so 60 seconds was as far as I could go before the sky became like daylight. Did just a little tweeking in Photoshop CS4 to try and get rid of the Sodium orange cast.
