Another great night in Abisko! Tonight was the second outing of our January Aurora Photo Expedition - and what an amazing evening it was. The auroras started as a green haze low on the horizon and developed into a spectacular multicolor display that filled 75% of the sky. Our participants captured thousands of images of the auroras dancing overhead and a few of us managed to create a photograph of Comet Lovejoy streaking through the northern lights. Even though the KP index never climbed higher than a two, the display was incredibly impressive! Shot with various Nikon cameras and lenses.
