Details:
A couple of nights ago we completed our last scaffold out on the tundra and were on our way back to CD-1, the main drill site at Alpine, when the aurora busted loose. As chance would have it, Doyon Rig 19 was on the road to CD-2. By the time we got close the Lights had died down substantially but it was still an awesome scene! 19 is a self-propelled, nearly three million pound rig, not something that you see on the road everyday. And the aurora was just awesome as it always is!
