Details:
The comet is very prominent in binoculars, these are 3 of the best photos I took tonight. We are expecting some quite nasty weather to be hitting soon due to an Atlantic storm (storm Rachel) which is rapidly approaching from the west, we have an alert for snow, hail, thunderstorms, strong winds gusting up to 75mph and even mention of a risk of tornadoes, which is something that doesn't happen often in UK weather forecasts! So I took advantage of this calm before the storm to get some images of the comet. As the clouds started to blow over the comet was still visible even through thin cloud which every now and then was illuminated by distant lightning.
