Stuck behind the coffee shop counter at Chena Hot Springs Resort when a co-worker rang to say the lights were "going crazy outside".

Wow! This was not expected till the following night. As I continually tell our guests at Chena Hot Springs Resort, be prepared for anything at any time. What an amazing treat of flashing pinks and orange flames. These images do it no justice as I caught only the tail end of the Kp=7 blast. But again, when you live in Fairbanks Alaska area, it isn't the Kp that matters, but rather that south pointing Bz vector. At Chena Hot Springs resort, we are all about watching the Bz!
