Taken by Marianne bergli on January 4, 2015 @ Tonights Wolf Moon was so bright that our six students from New York and Australia , who where with us tonight to study the effects the aurora during high activity, Where just blown away with the Moon lite Landscape and kp5 aurora that constantly danced for us ,That they said we only thought that you only seen this type of Auroal Display in the Movies. The full moon was not strong enough to block out this wonderful displace by lady aurora. Thankyou for this wonderful live movie we will never forget as long as we live. Yes we all howled at the Wolf Moon. Marianne Bergli

Beautiful Aurora images that you have captured Marianne!

As I was looking over them, I wondered if you had also accidentally recorded the Comet Lovejoy. It appears that in your 2nd image here, Comet Lovejoy might be on the lower right corner of your frame [*the comet is just below right of Orion now but not as much below the constellation as a few nights before- Comet Lovejoy is now more to the immediate right of Orion in the future coming nights;] or you might check other discarded images that you took as it also might make a nice posted image that is serendipitous in combining both the Aurora and the Comet. (;
