Details:
Comet Lovejoy (C / 2014 Q2) on the skyline of the village of Sant Lllorenç La Muga (Girona, Spain) the morning December 31th, 2014. The image is a composition obtained with the same lens and from the same site sequentially with some pictures tracking the sky with a small portable equatorial mount (a Vixen Polarie). Laterly these images are added to improve the SNR. Also was made an exposure with motor drive off for terrestrial landscape. An antipollution filter was also used. Stands out the tower of the church of Sant Llorenç, Romanesque, built in 972, although with numerous transformations over time. The sky was unusually clear due to a situation of north wind ("Tramontana" wind) to "clean" the atmosphere in this region.

Juan - You have used great artistic talent to assemble all of this. Thank you for posting and sharing this beautiful work.

I had hoped to do something similar tonight as an astronomy artist, but we have clouds and rain again in the Northwest US.
